Are you an avid gamer? Do you have a passion for quality? New World Interactive is looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Analyst to join our team!  Our QA team is the last line of defense against bugs and defects in our games. If you’re someone with a keen eye for detail, relentless dedication, enthusiasm, and exceptional communication skills, we would love to hear from you!


What a QA Analyst will do:

  • Use a mix of manual and technical testing skills to execute a variety of testing techniques across the engine feature set, analyzing the game’s quality
  • Design and implement test procedures and Reports. 
  • Seek to continuously improve test processes (root cause analysis, correction, and preventions)
  • Passionate in learning Technical QA test approaches such as automated testing
  • Capable of working with external partners, test peers, and development teams
  • Work closely with development disciplines such as production, programming, and design.
  • Follow up on bug-fixing efforts with developers to ensure proper closure and resolution of discovered and existing issues
  • Carry out acceptance, functional, qualitative, and performance tests
  • Routinely identify and attribute the timeframe and root cause of difficult-to-detect and track bugs, including game engine editor review
  • Find, reproduce, and accurately report issues in detailed bug reports

If you’re interested, you’ll need these skills or experiences:

  • Passion for gaming and quality, more specifically; an interest in QA as a career
  • 2+ years gaming or related industry experience or demonstrated academic training
  • Understand various test methodologies used in iterative development
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and can identify requirements and anticipate risks.
  • Experience development with gaming platforms such as PC, Xbox, and Playstation
  • Ability to prioritize and work independently, as well as in a team environment
  • Ability to thrive while working in a fast-paced working environment, with the ability to juggle multiple responsibilities
  • Proven track record of successful contributions to the release of high-quality products

Additional skills or experiences that will move you up in the stack-ranking for considerations are:

  • Experience with editor based game engines with Unreal Engine as an asset
  • Programming or scripting skills such as C++/C#/Python/Javascript
  • Familiarity with Bug tracking software with Jira, Perforce, and Profiling tools as an asset
  • Familiarity with certification test processes such as TRC/XR requirements for the current generation and next-generation consoles
