The Game Designer actively participates and contributes to the creation, implementation, and tuning features and balances. Additionally the Game Designer helps evaluate and improve existing features, economies, balances, and systems. You are passionate about first person shooters and what makes them fun.


What you will do:

  • Work with lead design and the team to own and implement features and balances
  • Implement and suggest improvement for features
  • Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to implement game data and balances
  • Iterate on feature and balance-related documentation and requirements
  • Monitor and track live features and balances and suggest changes to improve game performance
  • Research and understand the target audience to become an advocate for the player

If you are interested, you’ll need these skills or experiences: 

  • Experience implementing and tuning features and balances
  • Understanding of FPS gameplay loops and what makes the genre fun
  • Working knowledge of spreadsheets, flow charts, and simulations 
  • Experience with game engines such as Unreal, Unity, and so on
  • At least 2 years of game design experience development
  • A passion for all game types: board games, RPGs, and video games with an emphasis on first-person shooters

Bonus Points: 

  • Work on at least one FPS title
  • Knowledge of Unreal and Unreal Blueprints
  • College diploma in Game Design or equivalent - undergraduate degree is a bonus
