Are you a star in designing co-op levels and knowing everything about creating a compelling level that the player can't stop talking about? If so, New World Interactive might be the place for you! We are looking for a level designer that pays high attention to the player experience through narrative-driven level design. You would be welcomed to a friendly, inclusive environment where you can learn and collaborate with some of the industry's most talented people.  


What a Level Designer will do:

  • Work together with the game design team to create compelling levels that have a high replayability value
  • Collaborate with any discipline in the team required to get the job done
  • Actively looking to improve Co-op player experience through level design
  • Implementing and iterating on complex narrative-driven gameplay elements in levels
  • Participate in daily standups and syncs with the team
  • Document-level functionality and share that information with the game design team for further iteration and reference  

If you’re interested, you’ll need these skills or experiences:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Storytelling ability through design
  • Receptive to feedback
  • Ability to provide constructive feedback
  • Work well in a team and independently
  • Be able to adapt quickly to change
  • Comfortable with visual scripting complex gameplay inside levels
  • Creative mindset; ability to think outside the box to find solutions
  • Passion for making games
  • Proficiency with Unreal Engine 4 including:
    • Visual scripting with blueprints
    • Implementing AI and altering nav meshes
  • Experience working collaboratively with others on games
  • Shipped at least one Single Player or Co-op III, AA or AAA title
  • Portfolio of created levels
  • Familiarity with FPS genre

Additional qualifications that will move you up in the stack-ranking for considerations are: 

  • 3-5 years of work experience in FPS level design
  • Experience with designing levels for open- world games
  • Experience with Confluence and Jira
